Competition Time | Win 2 Tickets to Chesterton’s Polo in the Park

June has finally arrived, and therefore so has the start of the summer social season. Kicking things off in style is one of my favourite events of the year; Chesterton’s Polo in the Park.

Next Weekend, 9th-11th June, Fulham’s Hurlingham Park plays host to the largest, and most fun, Polo tournament in Europe. Teams from 6 cities around the world will compete over 3 exciting days of ‘fast and furious polo’. The pitch is smaller than a traditional pitch and rules are simplified, making the games easy to follow for non-Polo experts. There is also a whole host of fun pitch-side activities such as a luxury shopping village, a ‘Grazing Paddock’ full of stalls from London’s best restaurants and plenty of bars serving a wide selection of summery drinks.

Polo in the Park is a great excuse to throw on your classiest summer threads and grab a group of friends for some all-day drinking in a stylish outdoor setting. Even if you don’t spend the whole event watching the actual Polo (I mean who would!?), you can grab a glass of champagne from Lanson’s champagne garden, a piña colada in a pineapple from Mahiki’s tiki bar or a good old glass of refreshing Pimms from the Pimms Bus and head to one of the buzzing garden areas to bask in the glorious British sunshine with a bunch of like-minded Londoners.

This year, London City Calling is working with Chesterton’s Polo in the Park to give away 2 free tickets for Finals Day on Sunday 11th June (worth £70) to one lucky winner!

I love to explore different areas of London and enjoy the sunshine with food and drink – there are so many options whether it’s having a beer from a brewery by the canals in hackney or picnic with overlooking views of London in Greenwich.

Other than watching the polo or breaking in a new filly it would have to be ice cream on the beach.
