Did you know you can go Go Karting in central London at TeamSport’s Indoor Go Karting Tracks? They have 5 tracks located in Tower Bridge, London Docklands, Acton (West London), Micham (South London) and Edmonton (North London).

Their electric karts can reach speeds of up to 40mph, with multi-level tracks and plenty of corners to whizz around. Up to 20 people can tackle the course at one time so it’s a great activity for a large group of friends.

We recently headed to the Tower Bridge track, which is located a short walk from Bermondsey tube station, for my housemates surprise birthday party. I must admit, when we first arrived and were handed the full suits, balaclavas and helmets, I was a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect, having never been karting before. However, the minute I was in the car and my foot hit the pedal, the rush of adrenaline hit and I was having the time of my life!

Our group had three 8 minute races in which we managed about 10 laps per race. The laps are timed and projected on a screen after the race is over so you can easily see who won. I managed to come 4th out of our group. I was pretty achy and had a few bruises the next day, but it was definitely worth it for the amount of fun the experience is.
