“Open my heart and you will see, Graved inside of it, ‘Italy’.” – Robert Browning
It’s almost impossible not to fall in love with Italy.
Ever since my first visit many years ago I knew this country would forever hold a special place in my heart, with its charming historic cities, diverse natural beauty, unbeatable cuisine, friendly people and slow pace of life.
But little did I know back then that I’d fall for Italy so hard that I’d end up calling the southern province of Puglia home for several months.
Whether it’s cruising down the canals of Venice, hiking the snowy peaks of Trentino or sipping Italy’s finest sparkling wine in the Prosecco Hills, Italy is a place I retreat to on a regular basis to escape to the hustle and bustle of busy London.
In my Italy blog posts, I hope to help you also discover the real and authentic Italy beyond the main tourist attractions, to embrace the country’s relaxed lifestyle and unique culture, and to truly experience La Dolce Vita for yourself.
